RISE PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS

What is the RISE program?

RISE is improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people in the Performing Arts. We are educating young people to understand their value and worth and how to navigate what can be a tricky industry. We believe that all young people deserve to be treated with respect and that they should FEEL safe and BE safe all of the time.

The RISE Performance Programs take place during school holidays, offering participants a unique and enriching experience of the Performing Arts. These programs span over a week of the school holidays and provide participants with ample time to engage in a wide range of activities and explore their interests of the Performing Arts.

Our program replicates the professional performing arts industry. We put on a professional performance, which serves as the highlight of the week. The performance takes place on the last day of the program and provides an opportunity for participants to showcase their talents to their family, friends and Australian casting directors and producers.

What to expect?

Every day begins with mindset coaching to unlock the full potential of each participant. We assist young people in rewiring their mindset, assisting them in high performance environments to maintain positive mental health and to control their thoughts and emotions. They will be coached by mental health experts, mindset coaches, our mentors and professional performers in the industry.

Participants will then take part in various rehearsals with industry professionals throughout the day in different styles. All choreographers will mentor the participants throughout the process and focus on mental health and mindset.

Young people have access to the world’s most influential performers through mentoring, question and answer sessions, mindset coaching and dance repertoire and choreography.

An intense rehearsal process will be followed throughout the week to somewhat reflect industry professional practices with a high level of support available at all times. All students in each State will take part in a showing or performance based on the course length.

How do I apply?

Click here to APPLY NOW! We specialise in working with young people, we encourage ages 8-25 to apply. The application process requires participants to submit a video for consideration.

The RISE programs are demanding and require participants to have a certain level of skill, knowledge and experience in their chosen field. It can be detrimental to a young persons physical, mental and emotional health to take part in a program that they are not ready for. We work with families to prepare young people for our programs and/or to take the steps to prepare better for another application. We work with compassion and care and ensure families and young people understand our decisions.
